Hook and loop backer pads are how you connect your sand paper or polish pads to a polisher or grinder. Our aluminum backer pads are rigid and aren't flexible. This is ideal for beginners, or if you only have a flat surface to polish. The rubber backer pads are semi flexible, ideal for a flat surface, if you have a bullnose edge, or you are trying to round out a 90 degree edge.
It provides some flexibility if you need it, but can also be used for flat surfaces. Super flex backer pads are very flexible, and should be used for rounded surfaces or tight crevices.
